Kheer (Saffron Rice Pudding)

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup basmati rice
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon saffron threads
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (almonds, cashews, or pistachios)
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom powder

Instructions:

  1. Rinse and soak the rice. Drain.
  2. Heat milk, add rice, and cook until tender.
  3. Add saffron infusion, sugar, cardamom, nuts, and raisins.
  4. Serve warm or chilled.
