Ingredients:
- 1 lb chicken, cut into pieces
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1/4 teaspoon saffron threads
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- Soak saffron threads in a tablespoon of warm water.
- Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and onions. Sauté until onions are golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.
- Add tomato puree, coriander powder, turmeric, and salt. Cook until oil separates.
- Stir in chicken pieces and cook until they start to brown.
- Add yogurt and saffron water. Cook until chicken is tender and the curry is thickened.
- Stir in garam masala and garnish with fresh cilantro.
