Ingredients:
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 1/4 cup saffron-infused water (soak 1/4 teaspoon saffron in warm water)
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, beans, etc.)
- 2 tablespoons ghee or oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 bay leaf
- 4 green cardamom pods
- 4 cloves
- 1 cinnamon stick
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- Rinse and soak rice.
- Sauté spices and onions, add vegetables.
- Add rice and water, bring to a boil.
- Simmer until rice is tender.
